Excellent ability to communicate and interact with the general public, staff, and volunteers.
High attention to detail, with a positive attitude.
Ability to perform intense physical activity such as lifting, standing, kneeling, walking and other vigorous activities

Job Summary

STEPS Grounds employee would work with the Horticulturist, Arboretum staff, and volunteers to care for horticulture gardens and displays at The Arboretum. Duties would include, planting, weeding, watering, deadheading, pruning, training climbers, mowing, mulching, and Integrated Pest Management.
