Hours per Week

20hrs/wk

Looking for someone who can work:
Saturdays: 12PM-8PM
Sundays: 8AM-8PM
Availability for cross-coverage help in emergency situations

Seeking to hire weekend social assistants to help a college graduate from San Diego who is relocating to Lexington, majored in Child Development and is passionate about musical theater, loves anything and everything Broadway, enjoys a good chess match, loves to laugh, go out on outings, walk his dog, and connecting with people.

The roles of the Weekend Social Aide(s) is to provide caring support and stimulating companionship for him on the weekends. The Social Aide is supervised by, and accountable to him and his Support Specialist

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Preparing nutritious breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks
Properly assisting him with drinking and eating
Assisting with taking medications, as necessary
Assisting with all aspects of his personal care in a positive, sensitive, and respectful manner
Helping safely transfer to-and-from his wheelchair(s), bed, walker, car, shower seat, etc.
Safe operation of vehicle
Accompanying to activities and events
Encouraging the development of social skills and interpersonal relationships
Assisting with dog care
Attending to light housekeeping responsibilities
Being on-call to substitute for others in emergencies
Function as effective participants on team

Compensation and Benefits:
Starting salary of $15 per hour
Raises, subject to performance reviews
Special acknowledgment pay for cross-coverage assistance
