Job Summary



Possess skills and curriculum knowledge to enable Instructor to provide effective and concise math instruction to students of all ages, while using the employer’s Method. Contribute to the creation of an engaging and productive learning environment. Participate in positive interactions with parents, establishing a high level of confidence and program value, building long-lasting relationships. The Learning Center Instructor is also responsible for assisting in evaluating and tracking the progress of each student and completing administrative tasks as assigned. Maintain and foster effective communication with the Director and staff. Assist in maintaining a safe, clean environment. This is a part time position.


1. Teach, Educate and Monitor Students
➢ Utilize employer’s Method of teaching.
➢ Provide effective and concise math instruction that makes sense to each student.
➢ Inspire a growth mindset in students. Develop rapport and create a fun learning environment.
➢ Demonstrate enthusiasm in teaching math.
➢ Communicate student needs to the Center Director on an ongoing basis.
➢ Grade prescriptive and mastery checks in a timely manner and provide positive, effective feedback..

2. General Responsibilities
➢ Conduct yourself in a friendly, responsible, and professional manner any time you are representing the employer
➢ Partner with team members to maintain a positive, supportive atmosphere based on common goals and objectives.
➢ Maintain a positive relationship within the community.
➢ Participate in local marketing events to generate new prospects and promote the employer.
➢ Assist in non-teaching tasks, which may include administrative assistance, curriculum preparation, cleaning, or other duties as assigned.
➢ Attend and participate in training and staff meetings as scheduled.
➢ Take initiative to improve the overall operations of the center.
➢ Be receptive to feedback and use it to improve overall performance.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Math background, personality suited to work with children


➢ Mathematics competency based on employer’s employment assessment.
➢ Ability to instruct any of the following; Elementary Math through Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus.

➢ Must have high school diploma, G.E.D., or be in the process of completing.
➢ Maintain availability during center operating hours, including nights and weekends.

➢ Training courses in empployer’s Method are provided through training modules. Scheduled completion of the training modules is required.

➢ Work independently with moderate supervision.
➢ Flexibility; is adaptable to constant change.
➢ Strong tact and diplomacy; interacts with and works cooperatively with children, parents and staff.
➢ Highly organized; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments and projects.
➢ Ability to prioritize, organize and plan work under own initiative.
➢ Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
