Shifts for applicants will be determined and agreed upon by the student-caregiver and the UK family they’re providing care for.

Job Summary

Big Blue Family Care (BBFC) is a network that offers current UK students the opportunity to offer occasional care-giving (i.e. child care, pet care) to UK families. By submitting this application you are applying to become a childcare care-giver in the BBFC program. When an application is selected and matched with a UK family’s needs, you will then be notified and a standard background check will be run before the position begins.

Payment rates and type of payment is determined and agreed upon by both the UK family and the UK student-caregiver, and the UK family will pay the UK student-caregiver directly.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Desire to care for children. Ability to problem solve and manage behavior of children. Ability to engage in healthy play and offer positive feedback.
Familiarity with childhood behaviors is helpful.

Preferred experience for applicants is +1 year of child/youth care-giving.
