• Experience with WordPress
• Graphic Design
• Writing and editing skills
• Ability to take and edit photos

• Attend Staff meetings as needed (monthly)
• Report to Head of Staff
• Proactively solicit information from committees
• Flexibility and willingness to work with volunteers and different areas of church
• Attend worship services on occasion in order to gain a grasp of who we are

Job Summary


Understand and communicate 2Pres’s vision through different mediums to members and the community. Responsible for all internal and external communications. Create communication strategies and media contact for 2Pres.
Working in harmony with the church staff, the appropriate committees, the purpose of this role is to co-develop, to curate and to implement the various communications which embody the cultural spirit and the activities of the Second Presbyterian Church community, including the Ecumenical Preschool, for the joint benefit of 2Pres’s active members and attendees and also for the community-at-large, through the use of various media mechanisms: bulletin boards, newsletters, website updates, emails, social media, and in-church tv message boards, etc.

Areas of Responsibility
• Data Base Management
• Facebook
• Twitter
• Serve as webmaster for 2Pres’s website, coordinating with various committees, staff, and members to provide current, up-to-date online information.
• Weekly and monthly newsletter and reformat to paper version
• Specific bulletin boards
• Responsible to work within the allotted budget for communications/marketing with help of committees
